Bibi Pelić, violinist, entrepreneur, music producer, globetrotter since early childhood played her first music notes on the violin in Vienna at the age of 6. She continued her studies at the Prague Academy of Arts graduating with the highest honours and in Berlin mastering a postgraduate study.
At the age of 16 Bibi had her big solo debut with the orchestra playing her beloved Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.
She has recorded and published 5 music CDs, ranging from violin concertos, sonatas, virtuoso pieces as well as music from different styles and genres: jazz, latino, folk.
Let's Play Concertos!
Bibi loved playing violin concertos since she was a little girl. She was fascinated by recordings of famous violinists playing concertos with an orchestra. 'It must be a fascinating experience', she thought. Bibi was sad, however, that her chances to play the concertos with an orchestra were close to zero. She vowed one day to make playing with an orchestra available to all violinists. Years later Let's Play Concertos! was born.
Music & Leadership
Bibi’s experience as a performing artist and lecturing music workshops made her realize that the principles of creating a work of art and the approach of a top level artist can be applied to our everyday personal and business environment. As a result she created a new discipline "Music and Leadership" designed for business leaders using music as a metaphor for solving key business issues: leadership, teamwork, personal development, cultural diversity.
Bibi is a recipient of the European Union of Arts Gustav Mahler Award for outstanding achievement. In 2016, Bibi received the Honorary Doctorate for Fine Arts.
